| Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the American Coot in County Galway, two
American Buff-bellied Pipits in Berkshire, Desert Wheatear in Aberdeenshire,
Western Subalpine Warbler in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan,
Lesser Scaups in both County Clare and Somerset, Glossy Ibis in Pembrokeshire, and
Black-bellied Dipper in Norfolk. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Berkshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Devon), Cattle Egret (County Donegal), Rough-legged Buzzard (three in Norfolk), Snow Goose (County Donegal and Lancashire), Ring-necked Duck (County Down and Pembrokeshire), Surf Scoter (County Kerry, Pembrokeshire and County Waterford), and Kumlien's Gull (East Yorkshire). |

in Somerset, Northern Harrier in County Wexford, and Black-bellied Dipper
in Norfolk. Scarcities inclued Pallas's Warbler (Berkshire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), American Wigeon (County Leitrim), Ring-necked Duck (County Donegal) and Ring-billed Gull (County Cork, Hampshire, Shetland Isles and West Yorkshire). |

| Lingering rarities logged today included both American Buff-bellied Pipits
in Berkshire, Desert Wheatear at Rattray Head, Aberdeenshire,
Black-bellied Dipper in Thetford, Norfolk, Wester Subalpine Warbler
in St Just, Cornwall, Lesser Yellowlegs in Ernesettle Creek, Devon,
King Eider on Whalsay, Shetland, Red-breasted Goose on Islay, Argyll
and single Lesser Scaups at Colliford Lake, Cornwall and Blagdon Lake,
Somerset.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Richard's Pipit, a Little Auk, a Kumlien's Gull, a Ring-necked Duck, a Surf Scoter, two Rough-legged Buzzards, two Ring-billed Gulls and three Green-winged Teals. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of an adult male Black Scoter off Black Rock Sands, Gwynedd: only the third record for Wales following
single males at Newgale, Pembrokeshire on 25th December 1991-9th February 1992, and a returning bird at Llanfairfechan, Conwy, present each winter between 10th March 1999 and 9th April 2007. Elsewhere, lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the two American Buff-bellied Pipits together in Berkshire, Desert Wheatear and King Eider together in Aberdeenshire, a Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, Lesser Yellowlegs in Devon, Lesser Scaup in Somerset, and Black-bellied Dipper in Norfolk. Notable scarcities included the Pallas's Warbler in Berkshire, new Ring-billed Gulls in both Cornwall and the Shetland Isles, Surf Scoter in Conwy, Cattle Egret still in County Donegal, both Richard's Pipit and Temminck's Stint in Somerset, and single Kumlien's Gulls in Cheshire and East Yorkshire. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a second Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, at Cardiff, whilst the other remained in position at the Ogmore Estuary. Elsewhere, rarities seen today comprised both
American Buff-bellied Pipits still together in Berkshire, the American Coot in County Galway,
Western Subalpine Warbler in Cornwall, Black-bellied Dipper in Norfolk, single
Red-breasted Geese in both Dumfries and Galloway and Hampshire, Richardson's Canada Geese
in Argyll and County Sligo, King Eider on the Shetland Isles, Long-billed Dowitcher
in Pembrokeshire, Lesser Scaup in both Cornwall and Somerset, and Glossy Ibises in Hampshire and Pembrokeshire. Scarcities included a Pallas's Warbler in Berkshire at Moor Green Lakes - present for ten days but only identified from photographs today, the Rose-coloured Starling still in Devon, a new Great Grey Shrike in Cornwall, two Rough-legged Buzzards together in Norfolk, and both Richard's Pipit and Cattle Egret in Somerset. |

| Lingering rarities seen today included a single American Buff-bellied
Pipit in Berkshire at Queen Mother Reservoir, American Coot in County
Galway at Murloch, Western Subalpine Warbler in Cornwall at St Just,
Black-bellied Dipper in Norfolk at Thetford, Dusky Warbler on the
Isles of Scilly at Lower Moors, and Gyr on the Western Isles on South
Uist.
Others included the Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, Red-breasted Geese in Dumfries and Galloway and Hampshire, Richardson's Canada Goose in Argyll, Long-billed Dowitcher in Pembrokeshire, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Cornwall and Glossy Ibis in Hampshire. Scarcity highlights included the Temminck's Stint in Somerset, Rose-coloured Starling in Devon and Yellow-browed Warbler on the Berkshire /Hampshire border. |
