  Lingering rarities seen today included a single American Buff-bellied Pipit in Berkshire at Queen Mother Reservoir, American Coot in County Galway at Murloch, Western Subalpine Warbler in Cornwall at St Just, Black-bellied Dipper in Norfolk at Thetford, Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly at Lower Moors, and Gyr on the Western Isles on South Uist.

Others included the Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, Red-breasted Geese in Dumfries and Galloway and Hampshire, Richardson's Canada Goose in Argyll, Long-billed Dowitcher in Pembrokeshire, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Cornwall and Glossy Ibis in Hampshire.

Scarcity highlights included the Temminck's Stint in Somerset, Rose-coloured Starling in Devon and Yellow-browed Warbler on the Berkshire /Hampshire border.
