	New discoveries included a Dusky Warbler at Portland Castle (Dorset) and American Buff-bellied Pipit in Co Down, whist in Staffordshire a White-rumped Sandpiper was reported at Drayton Bassett Pits. Lingering rarities comprised Hooded Merganser in West Sussex, Long-billed Dowitchers in Gloucestershire and Lincolnshire, Lesser Scaup in Highland and Somerset, Red-breasted Goose in Hampshire, two Penduline Tits in Kent, three Richardson's Canada Geese in Argyll, Lesser Yellowlegs in Devon, two Hornemann's Arctic Redpolls in Shetland and Eastern Olivaceous Warbler in Fife The best of the rest included American Wigeon in West Yorkshire and Barred Warbler in Fife.
