	Headline rarities included the Black-winged Pratincole on Lewis (Western Isles), Alpine Swift in Sheringham (Norfolk), White-rumped Sandpiper at Tyninghame Bay (Lothian), Long-billed Dowitcher at Slimbridge WWT (Gloucestershire), Gull-billed Tern at Ynyslas (Ceredigion) and Bonaparte's Gull on the Add Estuary (Argyll). In Ireland a White-rumped Sandpiper was discovered in Co Waterford, a Gull-billed Tern flew past Co Donegal and two Glossy Ibises were in Co Cork. The best of the rest included Ferruginous Duck in Suffolk, Glossy Ibis in Pembrokeshire, Purple Herons in Kent and Cambridgeshire, Night Heron in Hampshire, Great White Egret in Worcestershire, Pectoral Sandpiper in Kent and White-winged Black Tern in Co Cork.
