  Today's headline rarities included the Roller in East Yorkshire, Snowy Owl in Western Isles, American Golden Plover and White-billed Diver in Orkney, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, two Black-winged Stilts in Hampshire, Iberian Chiffchaff and Great Reed Warbler in Cornwall and Long-billed Dowitcher in Cleveland. Glossy Ibises remained in Pembrokeshire (3) and Devon.

In Ireland the adult drake American Eider reappeared in Co Donegal and the Forster's Tern and and Red-footed Falcon lingered in Co Wexford.

A Night Heron in Hampshire, Woodchat Shrike and Melodious Warbler in Gwynedd,  Short-toed Lark in Co Cork and Rose-coloured Starling in Kent were pick of the scarcities recorded today.
