The highlight of the day was the discovery of at least one Pallid Harrier on the Lincolnshire coast; with birds noted at both Gibraltar Point and Theddlethorpe St Helen. Elsewhere, a Red-throated Pipit was new in Cornwall on The Lizard, a Red-rumped Swallow moved through Staunton Harold Reservoir and Swarkestone Lake (both Derbyshire), and Black Kites were noted overflying both Kent and Hampshire (2).

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present comprised the Squacco Heron in Somerset, Blue-winged Teal in Clyde, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Savi's Warbler in Leicestershire, single Red-rumped Swallows in both Cambridgeshire and Kent, White-billed Diver in Moray, and Glossy Ibises in County Cork (3), Pembrokeshire (2), County Wexford and West Sussex (2).

Scarcities included Red-spotted Bluethroat (Shetland Isles), Woodchat Shrike (Isle of Scilly), Yellow-browed Warbler (Norfolk), Golden Oriole (Pembrokeshire and Isles of Scilly (3)), Temminck's Stint (Nottinghamshire), White Stork (two together in Hampshire) and Wryneck (two each in both East Yorkshire and the Shetland Isles).
