  Spring rarities discovered today included a Black Kite in Shetland, at Virkie then Boddam, and an Alpine Swift at Kilcoole, County Wicklow. At least two Glossy Ibises were seen in Hampshire, together at Pennington Marshes and singles over Lepe at Sturt Pond, whilst late news from yesterday concerned a Black-winged Stilt on the Isle of Wight.

Lingering rarities still present today included Greater Yellowlegs, King Eider and White-billed Diver in Aberdeenshire, Falcated Duck in County Mayo, Penduline Tit in Lancashire, Black-winged Stilt in County Wexford, Blue-winged Teal in Clyde and Cornwall, Little Bunting in Devon, Lesser Scaup and Ferruginous Duck in Glamorgan and two Long-billed Dowitchers and Spotted Sandpiper in Somerset. Other Glossy Ibises were in Pembrokeshire (3), Dorset (2) and Suffolk.

The juvenile Thayer's Gull in Lincolnshire was not reliably seen all day.
