  Rarities today comprised both the Spanish Sparrow and Dark-eyed Junco still in Hampshire, Paddyfield Warbler in West Sussex, Siberian Stonechat in County Wexford, Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, Spotted Sandpiper in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, Lesser Scaup in Gloucestershire, Red-breasted Geese in Dumfries and Galloway, Hampshire and Suffolk, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Norfolk, Black-bellied Dipper in West Yorkshire, and Glossy Ibises in Cleveland, Essex, Norfolk (4) and Suffolk.

Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Anglesey, Ayrshire and Hampshire), American Wigeon (Devon, Dumfries and Galloway, Norfolk and West Yorkshire), Pectoral Sandpiper (Ayrshire), Ring-necked Duck (Cornwall), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall, Somerset and West Sussex) and four Kumlien's Gulls.
