  Lingering rarities comprised the Stilt Sandpiper in Dorset, Marsh Sandpiper in East Yorkshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Cleveland, Black Scoter in Aberdeenshire, Two-barred Crossbill on Shetland and Black Kite in Cornwall, whilst in Norfolk a White-rumped Sandpiper was discovered at Snettisham RSPB.

Scarcities included Woodchat Shrike in Gloucestershire, Spotted Crakes in Lincolnshire and Cumbria, Pectoral Sandpipers in Essex, Lincolnshire and Lancashire, Surf Scoters in Aberdeenshire (4) and Angus, White-tailed Eagle in Lincolnshire, Great White Egrets in Northamptonshire and Kent and Temminck's Stints in Cleveland and Lincolnshire. A Great Shearwater was logged from an Isles of Scilly pelagic this evening.
