Saturday 9th January 2010  
  In Powys, the juvenile Black Kite continued to show very well at the Gigrin Farm feeding station. Other lingering rarities seen today included Baird's Sandpiper in Lothian, Little Bunting in Highland, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan, Red-breasted Goose in Devon and Ferruginous Duck in County Armagh.

Scarcities included Surf Scoter in Devon, Green-winged Teal in Hampshire, two Ring-necked Ducks, three Black Brants in Dorset, Snow Goose in Argyll, 22 Bean Geese, two Ring-billed Gulls, five Glaucous Gulls, six Iceland Gulls, ten Caspian Gulls, Great Grey Shrike in Warwickshire, 11 Spoonbills, Great White Egret and two Cattle Egrets in Somerset, Rough-legged Buzzard in Norfolk, three Waxwings, two Lapland Buntings and a Serin in London.
