Season's Greetings from Rare Bird Alert
As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to send a warm, heartfelt thank you to all our subscribers and followers and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Your support is very much appreciated and never taken for granted.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed sightings, both directly and indirectly, and to all those who have generously shared photos.
Looking back, February 2025 saw the cumulation of many many months of hard work to deliver a completely updated birdnews app. The update was much needed but from feedback we have received it has been very well received. Throughout the year we have released a number of tweaks and updates and this will continue through 2026, so if you have any suggestions, please get in touch.
2025 was another good year for rarities and in January we will be taking a look back at the year that was, so keep an eye on your inboxes.
Finally, despite technology moving on considerably in the 33 years since the inception of Rare Bird Alert, I am proud to say that we still have a great many number of subscribers using their trusty pagers. They remain an invaluable means for many birders to receive their birdnews and we are delighted to be the only company to still offer such a service.
If you need to contact RBA over the Christmas and New Year period you can find opening times below.
Wishing all you and your families a very merry Christmas and as always, a bird-filled New Year.

and all the RBA Team: Ben, Brian, Chris, Jon, Pete and Will
Special thanks to Jim Lawrence for his Waxwing photo used for this year's RBA Christmas e-card.
