A Veery was found in Argyll on Islay at Ellister, and the White-throated Needletail was seen at Brora, Highland briefly early evening.
Other discoveries included a Red-flanked Bluetail on Holy Island, Northumberland, an Arctic Warbler on Inishbofin, County Galway, single Radde's Warblers at Reculver, Kent and Warham, Norfolk, a Rustic Bunting on the Isle of May, Fife, a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Black Rock and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Carrahane, both County Kerry, further White-rumped Sandpipers at Lough Swilly, County Donegal and on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, a Richardson's Cackling Goose on Islay, Argyll and a Laughing Gull at Rosscarbery, County Cork. Lingering rarities still present included the Northern Parula in County Cork, Mourning Dove, American Pipit and Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, White-winged Scoter in Angus, Blue-winged Teal in Shetland, Lesser Scaup in Yorkshire, two Northern Harriers, Long-billed Dowitcher and Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, further Lesser Yellowlegs in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Baird's Sandpipers in Leicestershire and Western Isles, White-rumped Sandpiper in Western Isles, Western Bonelli's Warbler in County Cork, Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, three Bonaparte's Gulls in Highland, Ross's Goose in Merseyside and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Western Isles. |
