| New discoveries today included a Yelkouan Shearwater off Bardsey, Gwynedd, two Wilson's Phalaropes at Ballyheigue and another at Black Rock, both County Kerry, an Isabelline Wheatear at Eoropie and a second Baird's Sandpiper plus an Arctic Warbler on St Kilda, both Western Isles, a Bonelli's Warbler species on St Martin's, Scilly and a Lesser Yellowlegs at Etton, Cambridgeshire.
Lingering rarities included the Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Long-billed Dowitcher in Orkney, Semipalmated Sandpiper, White-rumped Sandpiper and Laughing Gull in County Kerry, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Black Kite in Cornwall and Red-footed Falcon in Kent. |
