near Horsey Gap. We were thrilled to see such a rare bird and to see it catching insects and in no hurry to leave the bushes where it perched for ages and not at all bothered by all the people watching it. you could see it clearly without binoculars but for more detail they were essential. I was lucky to get a reasonable photo of the egret in flight. Usually they are more often than not, in the scrape walking backward forwards and sideways very quickly. G Jones
