	The find of the day today was a Western Black-eared Wheatear at Dursey Island in County Cork. New rarities today consisted of a Bonaparte's Gull at Newcastle in County Down, a Citrine Wagtail at Grutness in Shetland, Semipalmated Sandpipers at both Pennington Flash in Hampshire and Westray in Orkney, Baird's Sandpipers at both Courtmacsherry in County Cork and Guile Point in Northumberland, a Spotted Sandpiper at Voxter in Shetland, a Western Bonelli's Warbler at Ocraquoy in Shetland, a drake Ferruginous Duck at Draycote Water in Warwickshire and a drake White-winged Scoter at Lunan Bay in Angus. Continuing rarities today consisted of Baird's Sandpipers in Aberdeenshire, Cleveland, Cheshire, Highland and Shetland, Long-billed Dowitcher on Orkney, Lesser Yellowlegs in Bedfordshire, Leicestershire and Somerset, Black Stork in Suffolk, American Black Tern in Shetland, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk and American Pipits in Ayrshire and Shetland. Other big news today came from the Challenger 1 Expedition of The Canyons 300km south-west of the Isle of Scilly in British waters from the 17th-23rd of September. Highlights seen on this trip were a White-faced Storm Petrel, a Band-rumped Petrel, a Fea's Petrel sp, a South Polar Skua and a Scopoli's Shearwater on the 19th as well as three Barolo Shearwaters with one seen on each the 19th, 20th and 21st.
