  New rarities today were a Pallid Harrier at Foula in Shetland, Baird's Sandpipers at Broad Lough in County Wicklow and Carrahane Strand in County Kerry, the reappearance of a Franklin's Gull at Sandown on the Isle of Wight, and a Fea's Petrel at Pendeen Watch in Cornwall.

Rarities included a White-winged Scoter in Lothian, a Black Stork in Suffolk, a Hudsonian Godwit at Cattawade on the Suffolk/Essex border, a Long-tailed Shrike on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, a Citrine Wagtail in Shetland, a Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, White-rumped Sandpipers in East Yorkshire and County Wexford, and a Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire.
