  New rarities today consisted of an exceptional seawatching haul off County Clare with four South Polar Skuas and two Fea's Petrels at Bridges of Ross, as well as further Fea's Petrel records at Kilcummin Head in County Mayo and Melmore Head in County Donegal, also noteworthy was a Franklin's Gull briefly at Sandown on the Isle of Wight, an Arctic Warbler at Boddam in Shetland, and a Citrine Wagtail at Fair Isle in Shetland.

Rarities included a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, a Hudsonian Godwit at Cattawade on the Suffolk/Essex border, a Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire, a Long-tailed Shrike on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, Zitting Cisticolas in Suffolk, a White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford, a Ferruginous Duck in Northamptonshire/Leicestershire, a Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, and White-rumped Sandpipers in County Wexford and East Yorkshire.
