| There were two new Red-footed Falcons today: one at Worth Marshes in Kent and one on the Cooley Peninsula in County Louth.
There was again a Ferruginous Duck at Draycote Water in Warwickshire and the Marsh Sandpiper was seen again at Lough Beg in County Kerry. Other lingering rarities included Pacific Diver in Shetland, White-winged Scoter in Fife, King Eider in Shetland, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford, Gull-billed Tern in Suffolk, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Blue-winged Teal and Great Reed Warbler in Somerset and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland on Unst. |

| Discoveries today included a Squacco Heron in County Wicklow at Killoughter, a Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland on Unst, Great Reed Warblers both in Orkney on Westray and Suffolk at Bawdsey, and three Red-footed Falcons, all brief encounters: in County Kilkenny at Kilkenny, Lincolnshire at Anderby Creek, and Oxfordshire at Rushy Common. Continuing rarities comprised both the Trumpeter Finch and White-rumped Sandpiper still in County Wexford, Black-winged Kite still in Norfolk, Gull-billed Tern in Suffolk, White-winged Scoter in Fife, Blue-winged Teal and Great Reed Warbler in Somerset, American Black Tern in Northumberland, and Rustic Bunting and King Eider in Shetland. |

| Discoveries today included the first Baird's Sandpiper of the year in Lincolnshire at Frampton Marsh and the first White-rumped Sandpiper of the year in County Wexford at Tacumshin. Elsewhere, a Greenish Warbler was new in Shetland on Whalsay, a Red-rumped Swallow in Argyll on Iona, and in Kent a Black Kite lingered around South Foreland. A Gull-billed Tern in Suffolk at Minsmere was same individual as that present yesterday in Norfolk. Continuing rarities comprised the Trumpeter Finch still in County Wexford, both Black-winged Kite and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Pacific Diver, Rustic Bunting, and King Eider in Shetland, Black-headed Bunting still in Orkney, White-winged Scoter in Fife, Broad-billed Sandpiper in Devon, Blue-winged Teal and Great Reed Warbler in Somerset, Iberian Chiffchaff on territory in County Durham, and American Black Tern in Northumberland. Significant late news concerned a male Collared Flycatcher yesterday in Highland at Insh. |

| The find of the day was a Trumpeter Finch at Great Saltee in County Wexford.
New rarities consisted of a Broad-billed Sandpiper at Dawlish Warren in Devon, Red-footed Falcons at Alkborough Flats in Lincolnshire and south of Warwick in Warwickshire, a Rustic Bunting at Fair Isle in Shetland, a Gull-billed Tern at Cley Marshes in Norfolk, and a Marsh Sandpiper at Lough Beg in County Derry. Rarities included a Great Reed Warbler in Somerset, a Blue-winged Teal in Somerset, a Pacific Diver in Shetland, a White-winged Scoter in Fife, a Western Subalpine Warbler in Fife, an American Black Tern in Northumberland, an Iberian Chiffchaff in North Yorkshire, a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, and King Eiders in Shetland and Highland. |

| New rarities today consisted of a Subalpine Warbler on the Isle of May in Fife, a Greenish Warbler at Spurn Point in East Yorkshire, a Roller at Ipley Inclosure in the New Forest in Hampshire, a Black-headed Bunting at Deerness in Orkney, Red-footed Falcons at Haddiscoe and Edgefield in Norfolk and Dundalk in County Louth, a Little Bittern at Lower Moors in St.Mary's in Scilly, and a Red-rumped Swallow at Carn Friars in St.Mary's in Scilly.
Rarities included a Great Reed Warbler in Somerset, a White-winged Scoter in Fife, King Eiders in Shetland and Highland, a Pacific Diver in Shetland, a Black-headed Bunting in Orkney, an Iberian Chiffchaff in North Yorkshire, a Red-rumped Swallow in Scilly, a Little Bittern in Scilly, a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, and an American Black Tern in Northumberland. |

| New rarities today consisted of a Subalpine Warbler on Skokholm in Pembrokeshire, an Iberian Chiffchaff at Assington in Suffolk, Red-rumped Swallows at Bardsey Island in Gwynedd and Barra in the Western Isles, Red-footed Falcons at Ladock Wood and Stanpit Marsh in Cornwall and Dorset, a Booted Eagle at Land's End in Cornwall, a Bonaparte's Gull at Tongue End in Lincolnshire, and a Savi's Warbler at Storton's GPs in Northamptonshire.

| New rarities today consisted of a Broad-billed Sandpiper at Queen Elizabeth II Reservoir in Surrey, an Alpine Swift at Foula in Shetland, Black Kites at The Roaches in Staffordshire and Amberley in West Sussex, a Blue-winged Teal at Ham Wall RSPB in Somerset, Red-rumped Swallows at Bardsey Island in Gwynedd and Langdon Cliffs in Kent, and a Blyth's Reed Warbler at Spurn in East Yorkshire.
Rarities included a Northern Parula in Shetland, a Great Reed Warbler in Somerset, a White-winged Scoter in Fife, a Black Scoter in Fife, an Iberian Chiffchaff in County Durham, an American Black Tern in Northumberland, a Pacific Diver in County Mayo, a Red-footed Falcon in Cornwall, and a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk. |

| Sunday 24th May 2026 | ||

| A dark morph Booted Eagle flew over Bissoe, near Redruth in Cornwall. Other new raptors found today were a female Pallid Harrier, which was seen coming in off the sea at Titchwell, Norfolk, then continuing inland where it was later found on a fence post, but then continued southwards, and a Red-footed Falcon, which flew west over Bray's Cott in Cornwall. A singing Greenish Warbler spent the day in the trapping area at Dungeness, Kent, and there was a Richardson's Cackling Goose on Oronsay in Argyll.
On Fair Isle the Northern Parula remained in the Vailas Trees/shop area. Other lingering rarities included Kentish Plover in Leicestershire, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Black Scoter in Fife, Lesser Scaup in Buckinghamshire, Red-footed Falcon in Dorset, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Durham and the Great Reed Warbler in Somerset. |

| Find of the day was a Northern Parula on Fair Isle, Shetland.
The new rarities consisted of a Black Kite at Woods Mill SWT in West Sussex, a Tawny Pipit at Kelling Heath in Norfolk, and a Great Reed Warbler at Shapwick Heath NNR in Somerset. Rarities included a Kentish Plover in Leicestershire, a Spotted Sandpiper in Warwickshire, a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, a White-winged Scoter and a Black Scoter in Fife, a Red-footed Falcon in Dorset, an American Black Tern in Northumberland, and an Iberian Chiffchaff in County Durham. |
