Sunday 1st March 2026  
  The highlight of the day was a Red-rumped Swallow in Dorset at Radipole Lake; the third in four days following one on 26th in County Cork and another yesterday in Suffolk.

Continuing rarities included the Stejneger's Scoter still in Fife, Ross's Gull, Pacific Diver, and Dusky Warbler all still in Cornwall, Double-crested Cormorant in County Sligo, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in both Suffolk and Warwickshire, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, King Eider in Highland and Shetland, Ferruginous Duck in County Tyrone, Long-billed Dowitchers in Angus and Orkney, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Antrim, Cornwall, and Denbighshire, Bonaparte's Gulls in Scilly and the Western Isles, and Lesser Scaups in Northamptonshire and Worcestershire (2).

Saturday 28th February 2026  
  In Dorset the Forster's Tern again re-appeared in Poole Harbour, seen off Baiter Park this afternoon. A Bonaparte's Gull was found on Barra in the Western Isles and a pair of Lesser Scaups was discovered at Clifton Pits in Worcestershire. A Black Kite was reported at Wye in Kent.

The Ross's Gull continued to delight birders at Newlyn in Corwall and other lingering rarities included the Redhead in County Kerry, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Stejneger's Scoter, or possibly hybrid, in Fife, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Baikal Teal in Glamorgan, Lesser Scaups in Essex, Northamptonshire and County Wexford, Pacific Divers in Cornwall and County Donegal, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and Denbighshire, Pallid Harrier in Carmarthenshire, Bonaparte's Gull on Shetland, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall and Hume's Warblers in Suffolk and Warwickshire.

Friday 27th February 2026  
  New rarities today included an Alpine Swift at Youghal, County Cork, and a Bonaparte's Gull at Hayle Estuary, Cornwall.

Rarities included the Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Lesser Scaups in Northamptonshire, Essex and County Wexford, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk, Ferruginous Duck in County Tyrone, Ross's Gull in Cornwall, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Bonaparte's Gulls in Cornwall and Scilly, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus, Lesser Yellowlegs in Denbighshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, and Redhead in County Kerry.

  The new rarity today was a Red-rumped Swallow at Long Strand, County Cork.

Rarities included Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Lesser Scaups in Northamptonshire and Essex, Hume's Warblers in Warwickshire and Suffolk, Ferruginous Duck in County Tyrone, Ross's Gull in Cornwall, Pacific Divers in Cornwall, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus, and a White-winged Scoter in Lothian.

  Rarities today comprised the Ross's Gull in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull in Shetland, Scilly and County Kerry, Redhead in County Kerry, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Lesser Scaup in Northamptonshire and Cheshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire and County Tyrone, Pacific Diver in County Donegal and Cornwall, Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Penduline Tits in Somerset (1+), Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk and Warwickshire and Dusky Warbler in Cornwall.

  Rarities today comprised the Ross's Gull and two Pacific Divers still in Cornwall, Hooded Merganser in Gloucestershire, Double-crested Cormorant again in County Sligo, three Zitting Cisticolas still together in Suffolk, Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in both Suffolk and Warwickshire, Pallid Harrier in County Cork, Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent, Bonaparte's Gull in Shetland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Denbighshire and Cornwall, Ferruginous Duck in County Tyrone, and Lesser Scaups in Cornwall (2), Cheshire, Leicestershire, and County Wexford.

Monday 23rd February 2026  
  The new rarities today were a female Hooded Merganser at Pilning Wetlands in Gloucestershire and a Bonaparte's Gull on Easter Loch in Shetland.

Continuing rarities included Ross's Gull in Cornwall, Redhead in County Kerry, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, King Eider in Shetland, Lesser Scaup in Cornwall (2) and Cheshire, Pacific Diver in Cornwall and County Cork, Bonaparte's Gull on Scilly, Zitting Cisticola remained in Suffolk, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk and Warwickshire, Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Denbighshire and Cornwall and Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus.

  Breaking news from Cornwall concerned a Ross's Gull at Newlyn and a new Dusky Warbler at Marazion, whilst in Devon a Bonaparte's Gull was seen briefly at Brixham, Devon.

Elsewhere in Britain a Zitting Cisticola remained in Suffolk, Pacific Diver, Bonaparte's Gull and the continuing Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, Hume's Warblers in both Suffolk and Warwickshire, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Blue-winged Teal in Moray, Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus, Bonaparte's Gull in Scilly, Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent, Lesser Yellowlegs in Denbighshire, Ferruginous Ducks in Hampshire and Norfolk, Lesser Scaup in Cheshire, Cornwall (2), Leicestershire, and Northamptonshire.

In Ireland Redhead and Black Scoter remained in County Kerry, Harlequin Duck, Pacific Diver and two Richardson's Cackling Geese in County Donegal, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, and Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare.

  New rarities today included Richardson's Cackling Goose at Ardtermon in County Sligo, Bonaparte's Gull at Oare Marshes in Kent.

Rarities included Redhead in County Kerry, Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Lesser Scaups in Northamptonshire, Surrey, Cheshire, Cornwall, Leicestershire and County Wexford, Hume's Warbler in Warwickshire, Ferruginous Duck in Kent and Norfolk, Red-flanked Bluetail in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Scilly, Red-breasted Goose in Argyll, Pacific Diver in County Donegal, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Lesser Yellowlegs in Denbighshire, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, Zitting Cisticola in Suffolk, and Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare.

  The new rarity today was a Pallid Harrier in County Cork.

Rarities included an Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Bufflehead in Anglesey, Lesser Scaups in Cheshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Essex, Hume's Warbler in Warwickshire, Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, King Eider in Shetland, Red-flanked Bluetail in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gulls in Scilly and County Kerry, Penduline Tit in Somerset, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Lesser Yellowlegs in Denbighshire, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, and two Zitting Cisticolas in Suffolk.
