| Rarities in Britain today comprised the Bufflehead still in Gwynedd, a Zitting Cisticola still in Suffolk, three Penduline Tits together in Gloucestershire, Kentish Plover in Somerset, King Eiders in both Highland and Shetland, Bonaparte's Gull and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, Lesser Scaups in Cornwall (2) and Essex, and Ferruginous Ducks in Hertfordshire and Lincolnshire.
In Ireland the Harlequin Duck remained in County Donegal, as did the Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, both Bufflehead and Black Duck in County Kerry, a Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, and a Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo. |

| Discoveries today included a Hooded Merganser in London at Springwell Lake, Ferruginous Ducks in Cambridgeshire (2), Hertfordshire and Warwickshire, and in Avon now three Penduline Tits together at Aust.
Rarities elsewhere comprised the Harlequin Duck still in County Donegal, three Zitting Cisticolas still together in Suffolk, male Buffleheads in both County Kerry and Gwynedd, Hume's Warbler in Norfolk, King Eiders in Highland and Shetland, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, and a Lesser Scaup still in Essex. |
