  New rarities consisted of Hume's Warblers on Holy Island, Northumberland; Burnham Overy Dunes, Norfolk; Wells Woods, Norfolk; and Langton Herring, Dorset; Franklin's Gull at Hayle Estuary, Cornwall; Ross's Goose at Loch of Skene, Aberdeenshire; and two Lesser Scaups at Tacumshin, County Wexford.

Continuing rarities included a Blue-winged Teal in Cornwall; Daurian Shrike in County Wexford; Dusky Warblers in East Yorkshire, Leicestershire, and Norfolk; Harlequin Duck in County Donegal; Isabelline Shrike in Suffolk; Kentish Plover in Somerset; two Lesser Scaups in Cornwall; Lesser Scaup in Western Isles; Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and County Antrim; Northern Harrier in County Wexford; Olive-backed Pipit in Cleveland; Pallid Harriers in Glamorgan and Pembrokeshire; Penduline Tit in Gloucestershire; and Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford.
