| The mega highlight of the day was a White-throated Needletail at Helmsdale, Highland, with other major rarities including Lanceolated Warbler at Nanjizal Valley, Cornwall, Baikal Teal at Abbotsbury Swannery, Dorset, White-winged Scoter in Angus, and multiple Black Scoter reports along the east coast.
New rarities included Dusky Warbler at Walsey Hills, Norfolk, Radde's Warbler at multiple sites (Warham Greens, Norfolk; Brownstown Head, County Waterford; Sheepcote Valley, East Sussex; and Cape Clear, County Cork), White-rumped Sandpipers at multiple sites (four at Lough Swilly, County Donegal; singles at Tacumshin, County Wexford; and Seafield, County Clare), Ferruginous Duck at Ouse Fen, Cambridgeshire, and Red-rumped Swallow at Graveney Marshes, Kent. Continuing rarities included Veery in Argyll, Mourning Dove in Scilly, American Pipit in Scilly, Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly, Baird's Sandpiper in Leicestershire and Cornwall, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, Western Bonelli's Warbler in County Cork, Lesser Scaup in North Yorkshire and Western Isles, Blackpoll Warbler in Shetland, Northern Parula in County Cork, Ross's Goose in Merseyside, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Kerry, Arctic Warbler in County Galway, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Kerry, Bonaparte's Gull in County Galway and Highland, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Greenish Warbler in Scilly, and Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan. |
