  New discoveries today included a Barolo Shearwater off Pendeen, Cornwall, an Arctic Warbler on North Ronaldsay and a Franklin's Gull on Westray, both Orkney, and a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Trabeg and a Lesser Yellowlegs at Kenmare, both County Kerry.

Lingering rarities included the Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Baird's Sandpiper in Western Isles, Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly, Long-billed Dowitcher in Orkney, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Red-rumped Swallow in Cornwall and Red-footed Falcon in Kent.
