  New discoveries today included Fea's Petrel species off Bloody Foreland, County Donegal and St Ives Island, Cornwall, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Smerwick Harbour and White-rumped Sandpiper at Carrahane Strand, both County Kerry, Greenish Warblers on Unst, Shetland and Tory Island, County Donegal and a Ferruginous Duck at Shustoke Reservoir, Warwickshire. A Marsh Sandpiper was present for its second day at Standlake, Oxfordshire.

Other lingering rarities included at least three Zitting Cisticolas and Black Stork in Suffolk, Eastern Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Kentish Plover in Isle of Wight, two Lesser Scaups in Staffordshire and one in Greater Manchester, Ferruginous Duck in Leicestershire and Laughing Gull in County Kerry.
