  A Northern Harrier at an undisclosed site in County Clare yesterday was the new rarity of the day.

Continuing rarities included a singing Zitting Cisticola at Walberswick in Suffolk, a rare vagrant, a Black Stork at Boyton Marshes RSPB in Suffolk, Ferruginous Duck at Fen Drayton Lakes RSPB and Earith Gravel Pits in Cambridgeshire, an American Black Tern at Tyninghame Bay in Lothian, a Bonaparte's Gull at Oare Marshes in Kent, a probable Bonaparte's Gull at Cley in Norfolk, a White-winged Scoter at Musselburgh Lagoons in Lothian, and a Lesser Scaup at Audenshaw Reservoirs in Greater Manchester.
