The day's highlight was a brief appearance by a Caspian Tern at Severn Beach in Gloucestershire, seen from Orchard Pool before flying off. Continuing birds included a Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Laughing Gull in County Kerry, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, a Lesser Yellowlegs in Lancashire, a White-winged Scoter off Musselburgh (Lothian), and a Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire.
