The highlight of the day was a male Collared Flycatcher found on Barra, Western Isles. Discoveries elsewhere included a Black-headed Wagtail in Highland at Achiltibuie, and in County Wexford two Red-rumped Swallows on the Saltee Islands.
Otherwise rarities comprised the Pacific Diver still in County Donegal, American Black Tern still in Northumberland, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, territorial Great Reed Warblers in both Cambridgeshire and East Yorkshire, and Red-footed Falcons in Kent and Norfolk. |
