Saturday 26th April 2025
Most unexpected today was an adult Cape Gull in West Yorkshire at Redcar Tarn; perhaps the same individual as that present earlier at Grafham Water, Cambridgeshire in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

A Broad-billed Sandpiper in Gwent at Goldcliff was the first in Britain and Ireland since 2023.

Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Double-crested Cormorant in County Sligo, two White-winged Scoters in Fife, Pacific Diver in County Clare, Great Reed Warbler in Cambridgeshire, Savi's Warbler in Cornwall, and at least one Lesser Scaup in Essex.
