| New rarities reported today comprised a Bonaparte's Gull in Dorset at Swineham and a White-billed Diver at North Shields, Northumberland.
Otherwise rarities comprised the Booted Eagle back in Cornwall, Forster's Tern still in Dorset, Bufflehead and Ross's Goose both still in Shetland, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire, and Lesser Scaups in Dorset, Essex (2), and Gloucestershire. |

| An Ashy-headed Wagtail was found on Tresco, Scilly today, with another still in Cornwall.
Other lingering rarities included the Forster's Tern in Dorset, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Scaups in Dorset, Gloucestershire, Essex (two) and County Wexford (two), White-billed Diver in Aberdeenshire, Pallid Harriers in Pembrokeshire and Norfolk and Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan. |

| The highlight of the day was the return of the Forster's Tern to Poole Harbour, Dorset for a third year.
Rarities today comprised the Bufflehead still in Shetland, Pacific Diver still in County Cork, Ashy-headed Wagtail in Cornwall, two Blue-winged Teals together in East Yorkshire, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Bonaparte's Gulls in Cornwall and Glamorgan, and Lesser Scaups in County Armagh, Dorset, Essex (2), Gloucestershire, and County Wexford. Yesterday an Iberian Chiffchaff was identified at Dungeness, Kent. |

| Saturday 22nd March 2025 | ||

| A pale morph Booted Eagle circled Northwick Warth in Gloucestershire mid afternoon before it headed south-east. The wintering bird was last reported in Cornwall on 16th March. In County Armagh, a female Lesser Scaup was seen at Oxford Island.
Lingering rarities seen today included the American Coot, Ross's Goose and Bufflehead in Shetland, two Blue-winged Teals in Yorkshire, Ferruginous Ducks in Cambridgeshire (two) and Lincolnshire, Lesser Scaups in Gloucestershire and County Wexford (two), Ashy-headed Wagtail in Cornwall and Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan. |

| New discoveries today included an Ashy-headed Wagtail at Pendeen, Cornwall and a drake Ferruginous Duck to join the long staying female at Fen Drayton Lakes RSPB, Cambridgeshire.
Other lingering rarities seen today included the American Coot, Ross's Goose and Bufflehead in Shetland, two Blue-winged Teals in Yorkshire, Lesser Scaups in Dorset, Gloucestershire and Clyde, two Ferruginous Ducks in Warwickshire and one in Lincolnshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a pair of Blue-winged Teals in East Yorkshire at Brough; perhaps the same pair as that present in the same county at Tophill Low intermittently between 23 August 2023 and 23 September 2024.
Elsewhere rarities comprised White-winged Scoters still in Fife and Lothian, Black Scoter still in Wirral, Ross's Goose in Shetland, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, Bonaparte's Gulls in Cornwall and Glamorgan, Ferruginous Duck in Lincolnshire, and Lesser Scaups in Dorset, Gloucestershire, and County Wexford. |

| Discoveries today consisted of three Lesser Scaups, one in County Sligo at Lough Gara, one in County Mayo at Cross Lough, and one in Gloucestershire at Whelford.
Elsewhere, continuing rarities comprised a Black Scoter in Wirral, Double-crested Cormorant and Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gulls in Cornwall and Glamorgan, Bufflehead and American Coot in Shetland, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, Lesser Scaup in Dorset, and a Ferruginous Duck in Lincolnshire. |

| Discoveries today included a white morph Gyr Falcon on Anglesey at Rhosneigr, and in Cornwall an Alpine Swift at Trevescan.
