| Rarities today comprised the Booted Eagle still in Cornwall, Bufflehead still in Shetland, Black Scoter still in the Wirral, Black Duck and Richardson's Cackling Goose together in County Mayo, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Bonaparte's Gulls in Cornwall, Glamorgan, and County Galway, two Ferruginous Ducks together in Warwickshire, and Lesser Scaups in Clyde and the Western Isles. | ||

| Single Bonaparte's Gulls were found on the Ogmore Estuary in Glamorgan and at Ballyconneely in County Galway, whilst a White-biled Diver flew past Whitburn, County Durham.
Lingering rarities included the Booted Eagle in Cornwall, Double-crested Cormorant in County Sligo, American Coot, Bufflehead and Ross's Goose in Shetland, two White-winged Scoters in Lothian, Black Scoter in Wirral, Lesser Scaup in Clyde, Ferruginous Ducks in Cambridgeshire and Warwickshire (two), Red-breasted Goose in Cumbria, Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, Kentish Plover in Somerset and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk. |

| On the border of County Leitrim and County Longford a Lesser Scaup was found at Drumshanbo Lough. In Lothian there was a new White-billed Diver in Gullane Bay.
Lingering rarities included the Booted Eagle in Cornwall, Pacific Diver in County Cork, White-winged Scoters in Lothian and Fife, Black Scoter on The Wirral, Bufflehead in Shetland, Lesser Scaups in Dorset, Devon, Clyde and County Wexford (2) Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire, Kentish Plover in Somerset and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Black Scoter in Wirral at Hoylake.

Disappointing news from Gwynedd where the Indo-Pacific White Tern taken into care recently at Llanberis has died. |
