Tuesday 26th November 2024  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of an American Coot in Shetland at Loch of Spiggie, Mainland; new for the year and the first in Britain since 2017.

Discoveries elsewhere included a Laughing Gull in Ayrshire at Maidens (another first for the year)m and reports of a Bonaparte's Gull on the Isle of Wight at Alverstone, and in Norfolk two Ferruginous Ducks together at Filby Broad.

Continuing rarities comprised the Canvasback still in Essex, Penduline Tit, Pallid Harrier, and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, two Richardson's Cackling Geese together in County Donegal, Lesser Scaups in County Clare and Staffordshire, and Ferruginous Ducks in London and Warwickshire.

Monday 25th November 2024  
  A Penduline Tit was found at Titchwell RSPB in Norfolk, and a White-billed Diver flew past Strumble Head in Pembrokeshire.

Lingering rarities included the Canvasback in Essex, Bufflehead in Shetland, Lesser Scaups in Cambridgeshire, Staffordshire and County Clare, Ferruginous Ducks in London and Warwickshire, two Richardson's Cackling Geese in County Donegal, Northern Harrier and Pallid Harrier in County Cork, another Pallid Harrier in Pembrokeshire, Hume's Warbler in Yorkshire, Dusky Warbler in Scilly, Penduline Tit in Cheshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk and White-rumped Sandpiper in Gloucestershire.

  Lingering rarities seen today included the Northern Harrier in County Cork, Pallid Harrier and White-rumped Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Yorkshire, Dusky Warbler in Scilly, Bufflehead in Shetland, Lesser Scaups in Cambridgeshire, Staffordshire and Fife, Ferruginous Ducks in London and Warwickshire, two Richardson's Cackling Geese in County Donegal and Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall.

  Today's only new rarity was late news of a Hornemann's Redpoll was found at Whalsay, Shetland.

Lingering rarities included the Hume's Warbler in Yorkshire, Bufflehead on Shetland, Lesser Scaups in Cambridgeshire, Staffordshire, and County Clare, Dusky Warbler on Scilly, Ferruginous Duck in London, and White-rumped Sandpipers in Pembrokeshire and Orkney.

  A White-billed Diver was found off Papa Westray, Orkney today, and a Lesser Scaup was discovered at Ardcloony, County Clare

Lingering rarities included the Hume's Warbler in Yorkshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, Northern Harrier and Pallid Harrier in County Cork, Bufflehead on Shetland, Lesser Scaups in Cambridgeshire, Fife, County Wexford, and Devon, Ferruginous Ducks in London, Hertfordshire (two) and Warwickshire, and Pallid Harriers in County Cork, Pembrokeshire, and Norfolk.

  A White-rumped Sandpiper was found at Birsay Bay, Orkney today.

Lingering rarities included the Hume's Warbler in Yorkshire, Dusky Warbler in Scilly, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Long-billed Dowitcher in London, Lesser Scaups in Cambridgeshire and Staffordshire, Ferruginous Ducks in London, Hertfordshire (two) and Warwickshire (two), Red-breasted Goose in Argyll, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Donegal and Pallid Harriers in County Cork and Norfolk.

  Rarities today comprised the Bufflehead still on the Shetland Isles, Canvasback still in Essex, Northern Harrier and Pallid Harrier together in County Cork, Hume's Warbler in East Yorkshire, Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, White-rumped Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Kentish Plover in Somerset, White-billed Diver in Cornwall, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, and Ferruginous Ducks in Hertfordshire, London, and Warwickshire.

  Rarities today comprised the Northern Harrier and Pallid Harrier still together in County Cork, White-winged Scoter in Angus, Bufflehead on the Shetland Isles, Hume's Warbler in East Yorkshire, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, White-rumped Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Ferruginous Duck in London, and Lesser Scaups in Cambridgeshire, Fife, and Staffordshire.

  A Hume's Warbler was trapped at Kilnsea, Yorkshire, a Red-rumped Swallow was at Landguard, Suffolk and a Pallid Swift was at Ballycotton, County Cork.

Lingering rarities included the Bufflehead in Shetland, Lesser Scaups in Devon, Cambridgeshire, Staffordshire and Fife, Ferruginous Ducks in Hertfordshire and Warwickshire, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, White-rumped Sandpiper and Pallid Harrier in Pembrokeshire, Eastern Stonechat species in Lincolnshire and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in Cornwall.

Sunday 17th November 2024  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of an adult male Bufflehead on the Shetland Isles on Foula whilst a Ferruginous Duck was new in Hertfordshire at West Hyde, and a White-billed Diver passed Kinnaird Head, Aberdeenshire.

Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Northern Harrier in County Cork, White-winged Scoter in Angus, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Eastern Stonechat species in Lincolnshire, Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, Pallid Harriers in County Cork and Pembrokeshire, Bonaparte's Gull and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull both in Cornwall, White-rumped Sandpipers in Pembrokeshire, County Londonderry and County Wexford (2), Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, and Lesser Scaups in Cambridgeshire, County Donegal, Fife, Kinross, Staffordshire, and County Wexford.
