Saturday 24th August 2024  
  The highlight of the day was yet another South Polar Skua and a Fea's Petrel species at sea off the Isles of Scilly whilst in Flintshire the Hudsonian Godwit remained at Flint Castle where it was joined by a Lesser Yellowlegs.

Elsewhere rarities comprised the Stejneger's Scoter still in Lothian, Canvasback still in Essex, Franklin's Gull and Semipalmated Sandpiper together in Cornwall, Baird's Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Citrine Wagtail on the Shetland Isles, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, and White-rumped Sandpipers in Cleveland, County Dublin, County Kerry, Lincolnshire, Moray, and Norfolk.

Friday 23rd August 2024  
  In the strong winds today a Bridled or Sooty Tern was seen briefly off Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset, then lost to view and may have flown inland. Two new Nearctic shorebirds were found today, a Spotted Sandpiper on St.Kilda in the Western Isles and a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Streedagh in County Sligo. From the other direction, a Blyth's Reed Warbler was found on Bressay in Shetland.

The Hudsonian Godwit was again on the Dee Estuary in Flintshire, but was not very obliging. Other lingering rarities included White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk, Moray and County Dublin, Semipalmated Sandpipers in County Cork and Cornwall, Baird's Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Canvasback in Essex, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire and Citrine Wagtail on Fair Isle in Shetland.

Thursday 22nd August 2024  
  South Polar Skuas were seen from a pelagic off Scilly and off Annagh Head, County Mayo, an albatross species flew past Malin Head, County Donegal, and Fea's Petrel species were off Bridges of Ross, County Clare and Annagh Head, County Mayo. A Baird's Sandpiper was found at Frampton Marsh, Lincolnshire as was a White-rumped Sandpiper at Holme, Norfolk.

Lingering rarities still present included the Hudsonian Godwit in Flintshire, Semipalmated Sandpipers in Cornwall, Sussex and County Cork, White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk and Moray, Spotted Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Franklin's Gull in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim and Alpine Swift in Western Isles.

Wednesday 21st August 2024  
  The highlight of the day was another Fea's Petrel species in Ireland that passed Galley Head, County Cork this evening whilst nearby probable Black-browed Albatross was seen from both Ballycotton and Seven Heads.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the elusive Hudsonian Godwit in Flintshire, Canvasback in Essex, Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Franklin's Gull in Cornwall, Spotted Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Semipalmated Sandpipers in Cornwall and West Sussex, White-rumped Sandpipers in Moray and Norfolk, Citrine Wagtail in Shetland Isles, Black Kite in County Wexford, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent.

Tuesday 20th August 2024  
  The highlights of the day were a Franklin's Gull in Cornwall at Hayle, and a Spotted Sandpiper at Marloes Mere, Pembrokeshire.

Notable waders included the Hudsonian Godwit showing again in Flintshire albeit elusive, Lesser Yellowlegs still in Northamptonshire, White-rumped Sandpiper still in Moray, and lingering Semipalmated Sandpipers in County Cork, Cornwall, and West Sussex.

Rarities elsewhere comprised a Fea's Petrel species passing Bridges of Ross, County Clare, the Canvasback still in Essex, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Lesser Grey Shrike and Citrine Wagtail both still on the Shetland Isles, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, Caspian Tern in West Yorkshire, Black Kite in County Wexford, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent.

Monday 19th August 2024  
  New discoveries today included a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Owenahincha, County Cork, a Lesser Yellowlegs on Benbecula, Western Isles and a Citrine Wagtail at Spurn, Yorkshire.

Lingering rarities included the Hudsonian Godwit in Cheshire, Semipalmated Sandpipers in Sussex and Cornwall, White-rumped Sandpipers in Yorkshire and Moray, Lesser Yellowlegs in Northamptonshire, Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Citrine Wagtail in Shetland, Alpine Swift in Western Isles, Black Kite in County Wexford, Caspian Tern in Yorkshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent.

Sunday 18th August 2024  
  The highlight of the day was the return of the Hudsonian Godwit to Burton Mere Wetlands, Cheshire. Other Nearctic shorebirds today included the Baird's Sandpiper still in Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs still in Northamptonshire, Semipalmated Sandpipers in Cornwall at Hayle Estuary and still in West Sussex, and White-rumped Sandpipers in County Kerry at Ventry, and still in both Moray and East Yorkshire.

Other new rarities today included a Tawny Pipit in Kent that flew over Abbot's Cliff, and a Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire at Belvide Reservoir where it had first been glimped yesterday.

Otherwise, lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Lesser Grey Shrike on the Shetland Isles, Black Kite in County Wexford, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, Caspian Tern in West Yorkshire, Alpine Swift on the Western Isles, Black-winged Stilt in East Sussex, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and Ferruginous Duck in Buckinghamshire.

  A Black Kite was at Tacumshin, County Wexford.

Lingering rarities seen today included the Stejneger's Scoter and Baird's Sandpiper in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire, Ferruginous Ducks in Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Sussex, White-rumped Sandpiper in Moray, Lesser Yellowlegs in Northamptonshire, Caspian Tern in Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Lesser Grey Shrike and Citrine Wagtail in Shetland and Alpine Swift in Western Isles.

Friday 16th August 2024  
  A Caspian Tern was found at Pegwell Bay in Kent where a possible Brown Booby flew past Minnis Bay. Other seawatching produced a Fea's Petrel sp past Annagh Head in County Mayo and a probable Scopoli's Shearwater past Bridges of Ross in County Clare. A Black Kite was at Shapwick Heath in Somerset briefly this morning.

Lingering rarities included the Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Caspian Tern in West Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Semi-palmated Sandpiper in West Sussex, Baird's Sandpiper in Lothian, White-rumped Sandpipers in Moray and County Wexford, Lesser Yellowlegs in Northamptonshire and Lesser Grey Shrike in Shetland.

  A Fea's Petrel species flew past Melmore Head in County Donegal.

Lingering rarities still present included the Canvasback in Essex, Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire, Black Duck in County Mayo, Ferruginous Duck in Buckinghamshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Sussex, Baird's Sandpiper in Lothian, White-rumped Sandpiper in Moray, Lesser Yellowlegs in Northamptonshire, Lesser Grey Shrike and Citrine Wagtail in Shetland and Alpine Swift in Western Isles.
