Friday 16th August 2024  
  A Caspian Tern was found at Pegwell Bay in Kent where a possible Brown Booby flew past Minnis Bay. Other seawatching produced a Fea's Petrel sp past Annagh Head in County Mayo and a probable Scopoli's Shearwater past Bridges of Ross in County Clare. A Black Kite was at Shapwick Heath in Somerset briefly this morning.

Lingering rarities included the Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Caspian Tern in West Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Semi-palmated Sandpiper in West Sussex, Baird's Sandpiper in Lothian, White-rumped Sandpipers in Moray and County Wexford, Lesser Yellowlegs in Northamptonshire and Lesser Grey Shrike in Shetland.
