  New discoveries today included a Black Duck at Skinflats, Forth, a Great Reed Warbler at Abbotsbury, Dorset, an Alpine Swift on Bardsey, Gwynedd, a Pallid Harrier at Shoeburyness, Essex and a Bonaparte's Gull at Norwick, Shetland.

Lingering rarities included the Elegant Tern in County Mayo, Savi's Warbler in Leicestershire, Pallid Harrier in Shetland, Lesser Yellowlegs, Black-winged Stilt and Red-breasted Goose in Lincolnshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Dorset.
