| A Alpine Swift was found at Southwell in Dorset, whilst a White-billed Diver was seen near Lochmaddy in Western Isles.

| A Bufflehead was found at Carbeth Loch in Clyde, whilst a Black Kite was reported over Brighton, Sussex.

| Rarities in Britain today comprised the Myrtle Warbler still in Ayrshire, Red-breasted Goose, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher, and Coues's Arctic Redpoll all still in Norfolk, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Long-billed Dowitcher on the Orkney Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire, and Lesser Scaups in Clyde, Essex (3), Fife (2), Lancashire (2), and Pembrokeshire.
In Ireland an Alpine Swift was seen briefly in County Wicklow at Wicklow, the Double-crested Cormorant remained in County Leitrim as did the Gull-billed Tern in County Cork, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Louth, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, and Lesser Scaups in County Armagh, County Monaghan, and County Waterford. |
