| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim at Rathlin Island.
Elsewhere lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Canvasback in Essex, Eastern White-crowned Sparrow Cornwall, Black-throated Thrush in East Yorkshire, Hume's Warbler in Devon, Pallid Harriers in Glamorgan and Norfolk, Eastern Yellow Wagtail on the Isles of Scilly, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Western Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Lincolnshire and Suffolk, and two Ferruginous Ducks together in Norfolk. Significant late news from Saturday concerned a Trindade Petrel that flew past Pendeen Watch, Cornwall. |
