The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan at Penclawdd and Llanrhidian Marsh, whilst a White-billed Diver was on the Shetland Isles at Walls, Mainland, and five Lesser Scaups together in Devon at Lower Tamar Lake were confirmed as present for a second day. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Canvasback in Essex, Red-breasted Geese in both Essex and Northumberland, Long-billed Dowitcher in East Sussex, Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, and at least one Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Suffolk. |
