Discoveries today included an Eleonora's Falcon briefly in Lothian at North Berwick, a Caspian Tern in Cambridgeshire at Northstowe, and on the Shetland Isles a Collared Flycatcher on Fair Isle, a Blyth's Reed Warbler on Foula, and on Out Skerries both Greenish Warbler and White-billed Diver.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Eastern Olivaceous Warbler on Shetland, Gull-billed Tern still in County Wexford, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Great Reed Warblers singing in Cleveland and Norfolk, Lesser Scaup in Highland, and Black-winged Stilts in Gloucestershire, Lincolnshire (4), and Norfolk.

Scarcities included Night Heron (Cambridgeshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Norfolk), Long-tailed Skua (Western Isles), two Ring-necked Ducks, three each of both Common Rosefinch and Pectoral Sandpiper, four Marsh Warblers, five Red-backed Shrikes, and a total of seven Glossy Ibises.

Significant late news concerned an Arctic Warbler present on Monday at Berrow, Somerset.
