New discoveries today consisted of a Greenish Warbler at The Naze in Essex, Great Reed Warbler at Langford in Nottinghamshire, White-throated Sparrow on Bardsey Island in Gwynedd, Great Reed Warbler at Calf of Man on Isle of Man, and Red-rumped Swallow at Low Newton-by-the-Sea in Northumberland.] Lingering rarities today comprised of a Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, Red-footed Falcon in Nottinghamshire, three Black-winged Stilts, two in South Yorkshire, and one in Somerset, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Greenish Warbler in Essex, two Icterine Warblers in East Yorkshire, and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland. Scarcities included five Golden Orioles, Rosefinch, Purple Heron, four Marsh Warblers, two Rose-coloured Starlings, Temminck's Stint, Honey Buzzard, three Glossy Ibises, eight Red-backed Shrikes, Green-winged Teal, Serin, White-winged Black Tern, Taiga Bean Goose, two Grey-headed Wagtails, and an American Wigeon. |
