Rarities today comprised a Red-throated Pipit new on the Orkney Isles on Papa Westray, the Forster's Tern again in County Clare, both Caspian Tern and Great Reed Warbler still in Norfolk, Subalpine Warbler species on the Shetland Isles, Iberian Chiffchaff in song in Gloucestershire, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, and Black-winged Stilts in Gloucestershire, Norfolk (3), and County Wexford.

Scarcities included American Golden Plover (East Yorkshire), Montagu's Harrier (Essex), Purple Heron (Kent), American Wigeon (Dumfries and Galloway), Ring-necked Duck (West Yorkshire), Great Shearwater (Western Isles), two each of Bluethroat, Golden Oriole, and Long-tailed Skua, five Red-backed Shrikes, 10 Temminck's Stints, and a total of 15 Glossy Ibises.

Late news for yesterday concerned a Great Reed Warbler in Worcestershire at Grimley.
