Rarities today comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Leitrim, American Herring Gull still in Highland, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Baikal Teal in Gwynedd, Hume's Warbler in Somerset, White-rumped Sandpiper in Gloucestershire, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Northumberland, and Lesser Scaup in Oxfordshire. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Nottinghamshire), Little Bunting (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Oxfordshire), Dotterel (Norfolk), Great Grey Shrike (Bedfordshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Somerset), Snow Goose (Cumbria), two each of Rough-legged Buzzard and Glossy Ibis, three Surf Scoters, five Green-winged Teals, nine Waxwings, 10 Shorelarks, and a total of 12 Ring-necked Ducks. Incoming spring migrants included a Little Ringed Plover in Devon, White Wagtail in Kent, and in Cornwall a Sand Martin and three House Martins. |
