  New discoveries today included a Lesser Scaup at Lough Arrow, County Sligo and a Cackling Goose at Belturbot, County Cavan.

Lingering rarities seen today included the White-throated Sparrow in Cheshire, Isabelline Wheatear in Devon, Hume's Warbler and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, King Eider in Cleveland and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire.

Scarcity highlights were a Great Grey Shrike, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Yellow-browed Warbler, 15 Shorelarks, 35 Waxwings, two Glossy Ibises, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teals, four Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, a Todd's Canada Goose, six Tundra Bean Geese, a Little Auk, a Pomarine Skua, an Iceland Gull and two Glaucous Gulls.
