Discoveries today included a Bonaparte's Gull in County Durham at Sunderland, a Red-rumped Swallow in Norfolk at Sheringham, and now two Hume's Warblers together in Northumberland at Low Newton-by-the-Sea.

Lingering rarities comprised the Myrtle Warbler, Red-flanked Bluetail, and Dusky Warbler all still on the Isles of Scilly, Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, four Penduline Tits together in East Sussex, King Eider in Cleveland, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, and Bonaparte's Gulls in both County Antrim and Northumberland.

Scarcities included Rough-legged Buzzard (Orkney Isles), Richard's Pipit (Scilly), Ring-billed Gull (County Down), Surf Scoter (Fife), American Wigeon (Somerset), Green-winged Teal (Kent), Sabine's Gull (Cornwall), two Great Grey Shrikes, four each of Serin, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Glossy Ibis, six Shorelarks, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 159 Waxwings.
