| New discoveries today included a brief Ross's Gull at Loch of Spiggie, Shetland, a Desert Wheatear at Goldcliff Pools, Gwent, a Hume's Warbler at Druridge Pools, Northumberland, a Dusky Warbler at The Naze, Essex, an Olive-backed Pipit on Lundy, Devon and a Baird's Sandpiper at Hollesley, Suffolk.
Lingering rarities included the Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, Red-flanked Bluetail and two Dusky Warblers in Scilly, Dusky Warbler in Yorkshire, two Red-rumped Swallows in Kent, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher and two Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Black Duck in County Mayo, Lesser Scaups in Western Isles and County Donegal, Cackling Goose in Western Isles and White-billed Diver in Fife. Scarcity highlights included a Short-toed Lark, a Little Bunting, a Common Rosefinch, a Hoopoe, a Great Grey Shrike, two Richard's Pipits, two Lapland Buntings, 11 Shorelarks, 48 Waxwings, six Glossy Ibises, a Rough-legged Buzzard, a Surf Scoter, two American Wigeon, eight Ring-necked Ducks, a Black Brant, two Snow Geese, two Taiga Bean Geese, ten Tundra Bean Geese, a Red-necked Phalarope, 11 Grey Phalaropes, around 410 Little Auks, three Iceland Gulls, six Glaucous Gulls, five Sabine's Gulls, two Great Shearwaters, a Long-tailed Skua and 26 Pomarine Skuas. |

Discoveries tyoday included a Lesser Scaup in Argyll on Tiree, a White-billed Diver in Fife off the Isle of May, Red-rumped Swallows in Kent at Kingsdown (2) and Norfolk at Horsey, and in County Kerry the American Coot returned to winter at Lough Yganavan. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, Pallid Harrier in Cornwall, Radde's Warbler and two Dusky Warblers together on the Isles of Scilly, Dusky Warbler in North Yorkshire, King Eider in Lothian, Lesser Scaup and Cackling Goose on the Western Isles, and two Ferruginous Ducks together in Norfolk. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler and Hoopoe (Kent), Richard's Pipit (Scilly), Common Rosefinch and Lapland Bunting (Western Isles), Red-necked Phalarope (Dorset), Ring-billed Gull (County Louth), American Wigeon (Somerset), Glossy Ibis (Cheshire), two Great Shearwaters, six each of Ring-necked Duck and Long-tailed Skua, 11 Sabine's Gulls, and a total of 40 Waxwings. Significant late news from yesterday concerned an American Purple Gallinule photographed in Somerset at Dunster Beach, and a Grey-cheeked Thrush in County Wicklow at East Coast Nature Reserve; however, neither could be located today. |

Discoveries today included Pallid Swifts in Dorset at Swanage and Lincolnshire at Mablethorpe, a Red-rumped Swallow in Lothian at Gifford, a Dusky Warbler in North Yorkshire at Filey, and on the Isles of Scilly a Radde's Warbler together with two Dusky Warblers on St Mary's. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were Isabelline Wheatears in both County Cork and Gwynedd, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Pallid Harrier in Cornwall, Pallid Swift in Moray, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Orkney Isles, and in Norfolk Long-billed Dowitcher and three Ferruginous Ducks. Scarcities included Sabine's Gull (Hertfordshire), Common Rosefinch (Western Isles), Green-winged Teal (Highland), Snow Goose and Black Brant (Norfolk), two each of Pallas's Warbler, Richard's Pipit, American Wigeon, and Shorelark, six Lapland Buntings, six Glossy Ibises, eight Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 85 Waxwings. |

The highlight of the day was an Isabelline Wheatear new in North Yorkshire at Filey; the third to be located across Britain and Ireland since 24th October including the individual that remains today at Uwchmynydd, Gwynedd. Other lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Pallid Swift in Moray, both Black Scoter and Marbled Duck in Northumberland, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kildare, Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, and Ferruginous Ducks in both County Donegal and Norfolk. Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (Pembrokeshire), Common Rosefinch (Western Isles), American Golden Plover (County Mayo), American Wigeon (Somerset), Rough-legged Buzzard (Suffolk), Long-tailed Skua (Kent), two each of Pallas's Warbler, Sabine's Gull, and Green-winged Teal, five of Great Shearwater and Glossy Ibis, six Ring-necked Ducks, 10 Shorelarks, and a total of 87 Waxwings. |

The higlight of the day was the discovery of a Pallid Harrier in Cornwall at Nanjizal. Elsewhere, lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, Pallid Harrier, Dusky Warbler, and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Pallid Swift in Moray, Radde's Warbler and two Dusky Warblers on the Isles of Scilly, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kildare, and in Northumberland Bonaparte's Gull and Marbled Duck. Scarcities included Short-toed Lark (Cornwall), Serin (County Wexford), Wryneck (Dorset), Montagu's Harrier (County Kerry), Rough-legged Buzzard (North Yorkshire), Surf Scoter (Western Isles), Green-winged Teal (County Wicklow), Black Brant (Norfolk), two Pallas's Warblers, three Great Grey Shrikes, four each of both Sabine's Gull and Lapland Bunting, five Glossy Ibises, six Ring-necked Ducks, 12 Shorelarks, and a total of 233 Waxwings. |

Discoveries today included in Norfolk Hume's Warbler and Dusky Warbler together in Norfolk at Blakeney Point, and three Ferruginous Ducks together in Norfolk at Ormesby Broad, in Pembrokeshire an Olive-backed Pipit on Skokholm, and in Northumberland a Marbled Duck on Holy Island. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, both Black Scoter and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, Pallid Swift in Moray, Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, thee Red-rumped Swallows together in Suffolk, Radde's Warbler and three Dusky Warblers on the Isles of Scilly, Dusky Warbler on the Shetland Isles, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kildare, King Eider in Lothian, and Bonaparte's Gull in County Kerry. Scarcities included two each of Serin, Richard's Pipit, Wryneck, and American Wigeon, three of Great Grey Shrike, Lapland Bunting, and Long-tailed Skua, four of Pallas's Warbler and Green-winged Teal, five Ring-necked Ducks, six Sabine's Gulls, nine Shorelarks, 15 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 51 Waxwings. Significant late news concerned a Pied Wheatear present at Portland Bill, Dorset on 29th October. |

| New discoveries today included two Buffleheads together on Carrowmore Lake, County Mayo, a Penduline Tit trapped at Woolston Eyes, Cheshire, Dusky Warblers at Collieston, Aberdeenshire and Lower Moors and Porth Hellick, both St Mary's, Scilly, and Raddes Warblers at Portland Bill, Dorset and Porthloo, St Mary's, Scilly.
Lingering rarities still present included the Wilson's Snipe, Red-flanked Bluetail and another Dusky Warbler in Scilly, Hume's Warbler in Shetland, Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, Pied Wheatear and Black Scoter in Northumberland, Pallid Swift in Moray, three Red-rumped Swallows in Suffolk, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kildare, Lesser Yellowlegs in Aberdeenshire, Black Duck in County Mayo, King Eider in Lothian, Ferruginous Duck in County Donegal and the Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in Shropshire. | In County Cork, a Swinhoe's Petrel flew past Ballycotton mid afternoon, the first recod for the county and only the third for Ireland.
A Black Duck was at Termoncarragh Lough, County Mayo and a Dusky Warbler was found on St Mary's, Scilly. Red-rumped Swallows were recorded at Spurn, Yorkshire, Kessingland, Walberswick (three) and Aldeburgh, all Suffolk and Foreness Point (two) and Deal, both Kent. Other lingering rarities included the Red-flanked Bluetail in Scilly, Pied Wheatear, Black Scoter and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, Pallid Swift in Moray, another Dusky Warbler in Scilly, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kildare, Lesser Yellowlegs in Aberdeenshire and the Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in Shropshire. Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Richard's Pipit, a Lapland Bunting, a Waxwing, three Great Grey Shrikes, seven Shorelarks, a Montagu's Harrier, two American Golden Plovers, an American Wigeon, three Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, a Black Brant, two Snow Geese, nine Glossy Ibises, a Cory's Shearwater, 887 Great Shearwaters, 20 Leach's Petrels, two Little Auks, two Pomarine Skuas, three Long-tailed Skuas, five Sabine's Gulls and five Glaucous Gulls. |

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the American Buff-bellied Pipit and Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, Pied Wheatear in Northumberland, Pallid Swift in Moray, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kildare, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Aberdeenshire, Ferruginous Duck in County Donegal, and two Red-rumped Swallows in Kent. Scarcities included Cory's Shearwater (Fife), American Golden Plover (County Londonderry), Richard's Pipit (Cambridgeshire), two each of American Wigeon, Great Grey Shrike, Green-winged Teal, Lapland Bunting, and Glossy Ibis, five Ring-necked Ducks, six of Great Shearwater and Sabine's Gull, and seven of Shorelark and Waxwing. |

Discoveries today included a Black-throated Thrush on the Orkney Isles on North Ronaldsay, Penduline Tit in Greater Manchester at Pennington Flash, Hume's Warbler in Cornwall at Swanvale, Pallid Harrier in Borders at Newcastleton, Pallid Swift in Moray at Portknockie, and on the Isles of Scilly both Red-flanked Bluetail and Radde's Warbler on St Mary's. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Wilson's Snipe and Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, Pied Wheatear and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll and Blyth's Reed Warbler together on the Shetland Isles, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kildare, Lesser Yellowlegs in Aberdeenshire, and two Red-rumped Swallows together in Kent. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Fife), Richard's Pipit (Scilly), Little Bunting and Barred Warbler (Shetland), Green-winged Teal (Norfolk), two each of Snow Goose, Great Grey Shrike, and Lapland Bunting, three Glossy Ibises, four of American Wigeon and Ring-necked Duck, seven Sabine's Gulls, nine Great Shearwaters, and a total of 24 Waxwings. |
