	New discoveries today included a Red-eyed Vireo at Firkeel and a Radde's Warbler on Cape Clear, both County Cork, a Great Snipe on Stronsay, Orkney and a Cackling Goose at Loch Paible, Western Isles. The Blackburnian Warbler remained on Bryher, Scilly all day, with other lingering rarities including the Myrtle Warbler in County Clare, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Olive-backed Pipit and Radde's Warbler in Scilly, Hornemann's Arctic Redpolls in Western Isles and Shetland, Great Snipe in Orkney, Black-winged Stilt, Eastern Stonechat species and King Eider in Shetland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cleveland and Cornwall (two) and Black Scoter in Northumberland. Scarcity highlights included a Short-toed Lark, a Melodious Warbler, a Bluethroat, a Wryneck, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Barred Warbler, a Common Rosefinch, a Woodchat Shrike, two Red-backed Shrikes, two Red-breasted Flycatchers, two Richard's Pipits, six Lapland Buntings, a Corncrake, eight Glossy Ibises, three Ring-necked Ducks, three American Wigeon, a Tundra Bean Goose, a Buff-breasted Sandpiper, three Pectoral Sandpipers, three American Golden Plovers, a Red-necked Phalarope, 27 Grey Phalaropes, four Long-tailed Skuas, 23 Pomarine Skuas, seven Cory's Shearwaters, 34 Great Shearwaters, two Leach's Petrels, two Little Auks, three Sabine's Gulls, a Glaucous Gull and an Iceland Gull.
