  Seabirds provided the highlights today with 11 Wilson's Petrels, 284 Great Shearwaters, 12 Cory's Shearwaters, four Sabine's Gulls, and two Long-tailed Skuas all logged in the west.

Rarities today included a Pacific Golden Plover new in Cleveland at Saltholme, the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper still in County Cork, Turkestan Shrike still in East Yorkshire, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Squacco Heron in West Sussex, Caspian Tern and 10 Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Citrine Wagtail in Gwent, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and the family of four Black-winged Stilts still in Cheshire.

Scarcities included Night Heron (Kent), American Golden Plover (County Wexford), Red-necked Phalarope (Essex), Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), two each of both Barred Warbler and Red-backed Shrike, three Icterine Warblers, six Wrynecks, seven Spotted Crakes, and a total of 14 Glossy Ibises.
