  Seabirds proved the highlights today with a Fea's/Desertas Petrel in Cornwall reported passing both Pendeen Watch and Porthgwarra, a Wilson's Petrel at sea off the Isles of Scilly, and a total of 226 Cory's Shearwaters between Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the Turkestan Shrike still in East Yorkshire, Stilt Sandpiper still in Lincolnshire, Least Sandpiper in Cornwall, Black Scoter in Aberdeenshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Wicklow, Whiskered Tern in Hampshire, Squacco Heron in West Sussex, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Hampshire and Scilly, Ferruginous Ducks in both Northamptonshire and Warwickshire, and in Norfolk at least seven Bee-eaters still at the colony at Trimingham.

Scarcities included Night Heron and Purple Heron (Kent), Rose-coloured Starling (Ceredigion), American Golden Plover (County Mayo), Pectoral Sandpiper (Western Isles), Temminck's Stint (Lancashire), Surf Scoter (Aberdeenshire), and a total of seven Glossy Ibises.
