A Gull-billed Tern was seen at Oare Marshes, Kent this afternoon, whilst six Wilson's Petrels were recorded from the evening pelagic off Scilly.
Lingering rarities included the Least Sandpiper in Cornwall, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs and six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gulls in Kent and County Cork and two Ferruginous Ducks in Warwickshire. Scarcity highlights included a Red-backed Shrike, a Montagu's Harrier, four Honey Buzzards, a Night Heron, three Purple Herons, 19 Glossy Ibises, two Pectoral Sandpipers, two Great Shearwaters, four Cory's Shearwaters and three Pomarine Skuas. |

Seawatching today produced two Fea's or Desertas Petrels off County Cork (both of which were seen from both Galley Head and Cape Clear), 206 Great Shearwaters (including 134 off Galley Head and 59 off Cape Clear), 2,355 Cory's Shearwaters (including 995 off Galley Head, 760 off Cape Clear, 363 off Porthgwarra and 110 off Lizard Point), 66 Balearic Shearwaters, a Long-tailed Skua and five Pomarine Skuas.
A White-rumped Sandpiper was found at Kilnsea, Yorkshire, whilst lingering rarities still present included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Least Tern in County Dublin, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs and six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, American Black Tern in Northumberland and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. Scarcity highlights included an Icterine Warbler, four Pectoral Sandpipers, a Purple Heron, two Night Herons, 16 Glossy Ibises, four Honey Buzzards, a Ring-necked Duck and a Glaucous Gull. |

A Caspian Tern was found at Staveley, Yorkshire, with another still in the Slimbridge area of Gloucestershire. Other lingering rarities seen today included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, White-rumped Sandpipers in Buckinghamshire and Angus, Least Tern in County Dublin, Elegant Tern in County Galway, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Iberian Chiffchaff in London and at least six Bee-eaters in Norfolk.
Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Long-tailed Skua, two Pomarine Skuas, a Purple Heron, 18 Glossy Ibises, thre Honey Buzzards, a Surf Scoter and two Ring-necked Ducks. |

Discoveries today included a Gull-billed Tern briefly in Kent at Oare Marshes, and a Caspian Tern
in Nottinghamshire at Holme Pierrepont and then Netherfield. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Turkestan Shrike and Black-browed Albatross still together in East Yorkshire, Least Tern in County Dublin, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Gull-billed Tern in Lincolnshire then Cambridgeshire, Caspian Tern in Gloucestershire, White-rumped Sandpiper in Fife, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, five Wilson's Petrels at sea off County Cork, the family of six Black-winged Stilts in South Yorkshire, and at least seven Bee-eaters together in Norfolk including at least one young in the nest. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Orkney Isles), two each of both Cory's Shearwater and Great Shearwater, four Pectoral Sandpipers, and a total of 17 Glossy Ibises. |

a White-rumped Sandpiper at Collessie, Fife. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Turkestan Shrike and Black-browed Albatross still together in East Yorkshire, the Least Tern still in County Dublin, Elegant Tern in County Galway, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Caspian Terns in both Cleveland and Gloucestershire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent. Scarcities included Purple Heron (Anglesey), three Pectoral Sandpipers (Cumbria, Fife, Merseyside), and a total of 13 Glossy Ibises |
