| Seawatching today produced two Fea's or Desertas Petrels off County Cork (both of which were seen from both Galley Head and Cape Clear), 206 Great Shearwaters (including 134 off Galley Head and 59 off Cape Clear), 2,355 Cory's Shearwaters (including 995 off Galley Head, 760 off Cape Clear, 363 off Porthgwarra and 110 off Lizard Point), 66 Balearic Shearwaters, a Long-tailed Skua and five Pomarine Skuas.
A White-rumped Sandpiper was found at Kilnsea, Yorkshire, whilst lingering rarities still present included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Least Tern in County Dublin, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs and six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, American Black Tern in Northumberland and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. Scarcity highlights included an Icterine Warbler, four Pectoral Sandpipers, a Purple Heron, two Night Herons, 16 Glossy Ibises, four Honey Buzzards, a Ring-necked Duck and a Glaucous Gull. |
