| A Caspian Tern was found at Staveley, Yorkshire, with another still in the Slimbridge area of Gloucestershire. Other lingering rarities seen today included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, White-rumped Sandpipers in Buckinghamshire and Angus, Least Tern in County Dublin, Elegant Tern in County Galway, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Iberian Chiffchaff in London and at least six Bee-eaters in Norfolk.
Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Long-tailed Skua, two Pomarine Skuas, a Purple Heron, 18 Glossy Ibises, thre Honey Buzzards, a Surf Scoter and two Ring-necked Ducks. |
